We explore the theory and practice of different editing styles to better understand how stories are created in the editing room. Through demonstrations and hands-on experience, students will learn advanced editing techniques with an in-depth examination of Final Cut X.
Video editing is all about practice. In the course you will encounter various subjects and concepts. The basics include editing videos, removing and inserting audio, color correction, image management, ensuring video continuity and adding some special effects.

This is an introductory digital video course that explores all aspects of video
production from story idea to camera techniques to capture and editing. This
all will be through hands-on use of digital video equipment. Editing
software will be used to manipulate footage and create transitions and effects.
Students will use a variety of hardware and software to capture and edit video
and audio elements to create a short video.

The course includes functional details of the Adobe Premiere pro editing software and instructions on how to operate the editing tools. The course includes elements of editing, customization, timelines and important items for the premiere. It also includes broadcast TV standards, Adobe Premiere audio layers and a program monitor for professional student training. In addition to the technical guidance of Adobe Premiere, the course also focuses on understanding editing terminology that will help students gain maximum knowledge in the field.
