Crane Rigger Level 2 is designed for participants to acquire the necessary skills to plan, prepare and complete rigging work as prescribed by the National Standard for the Licensing of Persons Carrying Out High Risk Work. Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to move plant and equipment, erect steel, use hoists (including mast climbing hoists), place precast concrete, use safety nets and static lines, install perimeter security. screens, shutters and cantilever crane platforms.

This rigging training course is intended for personnel who assemble loads for lifting by cranes and their supervisors. Floor crane operators and other workers working with overhead cranes will benefit from this comprehensive and safety-focused Basics of Rigging course.

The Rigger and Signalman course is aimed at providing knowledge to individuals

and the skills to prepare and tie down a load for safe lifting with any form of lifting equipment,

using correct and clear signals to guide the crane operator in safely maneuvering the load to its destination. This is a compulsory course in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work (Operation of Cranes) Regulations for individuals who are commissioned to carry out lifting operations using a mobile crane or tower crane.
