An auto electrician performs routine maintenance, services, inspections, repairs, and replacements on the electrical and electronic components of cars. A capable and trustworthy automotive electrician should be able to install electrical installations and network equipment on a car and use the drawings as a reference to locate and rectify installation and network equipment issues. Along with doing a quality check on the completed electrical work, this craftsperson must also be aware of all applicable rules and regulations. One of the United College of Technology trade programs is the three-month auto electrician program.
